Honestly? 4 years and hes only applied for 30 jobs? Hell I did over 20 when I was in HS to get my first job. You have to make getting a job, a job. Put in 8 hrs a day looking for work.

She doesn't necessarily need anyone to help her, I am just wanting to. She has never asked for help for money from anyone, and that's part of the reason I want to help. People like that definitely deserve a break here and there.
Not sure what I am going to do yet. I'm just slowly saving what little I can on the side to try and help out. Hopefully around Thanksgiving, be able to pick up a decent dual core (Not celeron, or amd crap) for around the 400 mark.
Not to thread jack, but "AMD crap"? If you are looking for an affordable computer, AMD's processors will do just fine :P. In fact, it's probably what you should be looking for.Quote:

True, even a celeron will work, just preference. I'm an IT professional/nerd, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to equipment. The celerons and AMD Turions just don't cut it real well in laptops. (The higher AMD's seem to get pretty toasty and use a good amount of power as well) It's hard to argue against a lot of the Core Duo / Core 2 Duo lines from experience on laptops.
