Got some parts soaking in cleaner and they will just need to be scrubbed clean. Last night progress!!
I found out that the 3sx solid pulley I had did not have the damn base timing mark on it. Little hard to set the timing without that mark on the pulley....
I mated it up to a stock on and filed in the groove.

I also realized that this engine had a second gen rear valve cover so I could actually use the timing covers that I dipped. Luckily I found that the covers are not what damaged the belt on the other engine. It was the nut that fell into the timing area.

Fuel rails and DSM 450cc injectors installed. Stubs all installed for the rails and upper intake plenum. Makes it much easier to work and not have to worry about loosing the bolts. If I lose a nut I have a whole bag full of them. Just have to make sure they don't fall into the timing area again....

Electronics moved over and working on getting the AN coolant lines plumbed. They will be finished once I have recoated the exhaust manifolds and mount the turbo's.

Tonight I have to respray the exhaust manifolds and pre-cats. I use VHT High Temp paint made for exhausts. It is good up to something like 2000 degrees. It is on the manifolds now and has held for years. Just respraying them to clean them up is all. The front is the main one. I pulled it last year to fix a crack and used the engine paint not exhaust paint. Needless to say it burned off in about 10 mins leaving the fresh weld exposed. Which looked horrible when you looked at the manifold.
So this weekend we very busy for me. I dragged the new engine out of the shed where it has been for the last year or so now. Had to use boards to get it out front as it was all muddy grass from the shed to the driveway.....
Finished buttoning up the engine of all the minor things and got the new engine dropped into the car. That is as far as I got. The rain has been really bad here lately and the humidity is horrible. In the process of getting parts swapped over I ended up breaking my Temp gauge sender and the ECU coolant sender. So I had to order both new parts. I only installed the engine the trans is not yet installed. I still have some work to do on the trans and I needed to get the engine installed due to the rain.

The front valve cover is temporary as I am working on getting the permanent one completed.

Update time....
Weather has not been the best so it has taken me far longer to get the engine back together, but it has kept me inside enough to get some other things done. I'm sure most of you have seen the hydrographic parts I have been doing.
Well yesterday I realized I was 95% done. I was only waiting on the two reducers for the pre-turbo pipes to come in and I could finish everything up. Everything else is done.
