Corey - and that's how they think. I'll just smash this guy in the mouth and let him know I'm pissed off thanks to his poor call. Back when I played footy, never ever ever did I ever think I would lay a single finger on the umpire. EVER! I didn't even swear at him as usually that would mean extra penalties. (plus I was a good Catholic boy) I'm with jefe - murder for this kid and hopefully life in prison.

scotty, you have never gotten in a fight, for any reason? even if you didnt swing at someone, have you ever been in a fist fight?

I definitely do not condone hitting the ref or anyone. It was wrong and he definitely should be punished, a punishment far more harsh than the average penalty for fighting. I just dont think the intent to kill was there, maybe I am wrong though.

this. if the prosecutor is smart he'll charge the guy with involuntary manslaughter. that'll be a slam dunk. the guy wasn't trying to kill him.

Sometimes it seems that's the PA's aim.

this guy I worked with accidently shot and killed his friend when they were drinking and playing with a gun while playing cards. the PA wanted to make an example of this rich white kid from Alpharetta and go for Murder. kid walked.

probably not. such is the case with racist people. they're blinded by their hate to the facts. who knows who else will walk or get away with lighter sentances because of tactics like this.

Nonetheless, I am heartened by the occasional bits of news from GA that indicate sense isn't totally dead, yet. :)
