No fire blanket under this hood, and the hood was propped while cranking/re-connecting. I'll have to definitely test the battery, and take all of this into consideration. Thanks Joe.Quote:

You want to use IGN ACC wire for the LCD + and ground the LCD negative. I had the same problem with my electronic gauges it freaked me out and I thought the car jumped time/CAS went bad and it was fine. Check there first. I also recommend soldering all of your wires and heat shrinking the soldered joints do not use quick taps/splices as they don't hold and cause problems.
Ah! I didn't heat shrink... and I even bought a decent amount of it to do so. This sounds to be most on-par, as clearly you already went through the ringer on it. I really appreciate it, I look forward to seeing if this takes care of it. It's worth just combing through the whole thing again for the sake of posterity.Quote:

I removed the starter relay, reconnected the battery, reinstalled the relay, and it started up fine, but now it seems to hunt ever so slightly with a low idle. Any form of a boost leak or what-have-you is impossible, as the car hasn't moved a foot since it went awry on me with tripping the relay. Any idea on what to check now? I'm getting down to my last nerve with this car, clarity is not with me or my burned hand.
