Soak it with some good wheel cleaner then go for gold with a hard bristled brush, it should come off. The filings themselves are what is rusting, there shouldn't be any damage to the wheel paint....hopefully. Any marks left on there should buff out. They sell clear in a rattle can but I've heard mixed results about it. I used it once on brake calipers and it seemed to do fine.Quote:

sanding a PC will not look good I imagine.
Yeah I've been debating about taking a shot at it... I would basically have to polish the clear coat. But I don't know how it would turn out. Guess I've got nothing to lose so might as well try it.
