ANy ideas on how to transport an engine?

If you pull the front seat, where do you put it? Ideas:

1. Freight. Almost all carriers will palletize your parts and ship almost anywhere in the US for around $150. All you have to do is get the parts to their terminal. Surely seller will help with that?
2. Is Greyhound an option?
3. Have a hitch installed, rent trailer. Only do this with permission from higher authority.

Guess I thought I'd separate the Trans and put the Trans and TC where passenger seat was to spread the load out a bit. This is a last resort, of course.
If I can get it to a shipper, that's likely the best option. Biggest issue is I'm in class until 4 or 5ish

Based on the block I just shipped, $150 is quite optimistic.

Just rent a pick up truck for a day and load the shit into the back. Cheapest, easiest... safest (wife's wrath)

Pickup truck is best option, IMO.

i put a full engine in the back of a minivan. a couple rubbermaids and trashbacks (no fluids) and it was a piece of cake.

I put a longblock jag v12 with gm turbo 400 transmission in back of caliber once. it can be done but the car wont like it.

I fit a TT motor in the back seat of a Jetta. Tiny car, had 4 tires with me, one rim, luggage, and a tool box. I would just ship it.

I put a whole lower engine in the back of my stealth, heads up front.

Put a whole TT engine (less the turbos), with a picker a tranmission and transfercas and two people in the in the MDX. Handled it like a champ. I think the key is to make sure there is some cusioning and to spread the weight around as much as possible.

But you can probably rent a truck for like 150 plus gas for the day
