I would recommend just getting a Hallman Pro MBC, and not running boost electronically. Otherwise there are several ways to control it with AEM if you do decide to, true boost is one of them i believe.

You will need an AEM IAT sensor, along with a AEM MAP sensor 3.5 or 5 bar depending on boost you plan to run.

Also like you said get the AEM wideband, and wire it into the ECU. If you are looking to get one soon, i am actually about to put up a sale on them. I will post a link when i do.

I was under the impression that the EMS could control boost, it would need an EBC connected to it to do so I am sure.

Yeah it can be done, but you are better off running an MBC

Why is a MBC better than a HKS EVC IV?

I will most likely be using the AEM boost Solenoid to control boost.

yes it is and thats the only thing I dont like about EMS and it takes like forever to start when the car is cold...

For that price I would have bought one too :)

It sure can control boost but it isnt very good at it thats what I have heard,

Then it needs some more adjustment. Series 1 is great, it takes a second for all the systems to cycle, them it fires right up. My car has started up first try for me everytime even in the colder weather recently, and i am on series 1. Driveability is also great, the car runs way smoother than it did stock, and makes a lot more power even out of boost.

That is the nice feature of series 2, is it fires up instantly just like a stock ecu, as long as it is tuned properly.
