Well, right now we're trying to work out a way that we have someone haul the cars there. We're thinking we could get up to eight people and there are only four so far that would want to do it. As long as we can get it under what it would cost to drive and get a hotel in between we're going to do it. I'll let you know what we find out. Other wise, we'll just drive as normal. It would be nice to not put mileage on the cars too.

Yeah. If you keep the same rolling diameter then the wheel gap will be the same. You would have to get higher profile tires to fill the gap.

That would be awesome! I'd love to be able to drive my vr4 at NG (provided it's in running condition still) Think we could just rent one of those car hauler semi trucks? We could fit quite a few on one of those and then all of us just get round trip plane tickets to NG, fly there, pick up our car, drive it around NG, load it up, and fly home :) Easy peasy

Tires have EVERYTHING to do with it. You always want to keep the same rolling diameter. It would be stupid to go with larger rims and larger tires at the same time. Stock rolling diameter is 25.7" on a 3s. Anything larger than 26" and you are going to rub. You are also going to throw off your speedo. The only way to fill the gap, is to lower it.
