I see people buy turbos marked genuine MHI all day long and are quality sweat shop turbos. I see it mostly when people send there tdo5s in to be rebuilt and converted to B20G's and then my friend austin has to break the bad news to his customers that the turbos they got are actually china junk. I didnt say they were for sure cause I have no way of seeing but that would explain their such short lives. Its okay stealthee, I understand ur problems.
depends where he got the turbos. someone could have the mhi housings and the internals were chinabay
charging the batteries again on the vr4 and spyder pffffffffffff
Got the turbos from IPS as part of my TD05 kit back in the summer of 2008 so, they were NIB and they have been on the car less than 4 years. Not sure why they are both bad but the car has always had a turbo timer on it and it is set for 1 - 3 minutes depending on how hard the car had been run. I run 10w-40 amsoil in the car and aside from the high idle issue and the massive smoking the car runs great.
I gave it my regards as I walked past my garage through the falling snow, and thought about setting aside some cash for a '99 ECU.
I then mentioned this to my wife, who said she would prefer to get it painted and have a new windshield installed (the original has been pitted by desert driving).
I am torn.:)
