More important than weight to me: How's head clearance now vs stock, and sight lines over the hood vs stock? Comfort?
Shaving a bit of weight is nice, but not at the expense of some creature comforts.

today i test drove a 93 sl v6 5spd off craigslist with supposed timing problems or a bad cv axle, got about 50 ft down road and front tire came off.:applouse: (idiot bought it for his kid she hated it wanted a mustang and never drove it) didn't check lug nuts
fixed that and car drove perfect no major issues minus minor fender/side skirt damage from tire coming off needs serp belt, new drivers seat and needing brake job got half off for guy being a moron. 650$
I didn't do it yet but I'm about to hit 60k on my '99 SOHC.

time to change the sig..
Thanks guys...I LOVEEEEEEE them...car definitely oozes supercar charisma with the wheels. I'd like to widebody it in the future someday..
Im sorry for saying this NOMIEZVR4 but....those wheels are orgasmic :P lol. Favorite wheel on a 3s.
No doubt! Volks look great on a 3S
Are you running the Supra offsets? I bought a set of 18x9 +42 18x10.5 +43 from a Supra and they tuck in very nicely almost too much but I won't have fender rubbing issues in the back. My other set of 19s with a lower offset 8.5 +24 front and 10 +28 rear iirc were flush. The rear needed some slight negative camber and the fenders rolled or else it would rub.
Nomie's width and offsets are more aggressive than those. Rear is 10.5 +22 :D
Thanks Eric...
So heres the story on the offsets...the seller didn't know the offsets. I sent him a video off youtube to calculate the offsets...the wheels are off a 350Z..based on his calculations they're supposed to be 9.5 +27 front and 10.5 +21 rear...I personally haven't measured them myself cause I was too ecstatic to see how my car would look with them on..:D But based on fitment so far, I couldn't be happier..they're perfect. I've got a 5mm spacer out front FYI..
I'll have more pictures posted soon..maybe im hoping in a week or two...BTW my fenders are rolled..
Oh and about the widebody Eric...its hard to not to do it when I got this thing parked next to my car..;) regardless...its not happening anytime soon...I want to enjoy the car for the next few years..maybe when I get bored..

Pics can't do the rx7 justice. That thing is RIDICULOUS in person!
Nothing to the Stealth. I did take my mom's car to my uncle's place so I had a garage to work in. I pulled the struts and compressed them to get the springs out then put the springs on some new struts and put the new strut mounts on it. Put that back on then I changed both tie rod ends. Tightened everything up and came home for the night. I'm going back over tomorrow to change the control arms. The whole front end will be brand new then.
Nice, tmrw the bmw will be on the road again. New battery and hood alterations in place. 3s or firechicken hmmm
I received this fine kit after my neighbor who accidentally received them in his mail dropped them off to their rightful owner...It's a very nice kit that Bradrs put together for us (w/help by Hans@GZP). ;)

100K:up:
A damning indictment of the public education system if there ever was one.
Welcome to the club! Top 3 best looking 3/s wheels, imho.
p.s.
That rexxy's fenders are PRECISELY what I want in a 3/s fender--it matches the stock fender lines perfectly from that angle. Why is it so hard to get this made for a 3/s?
I should have a scoote 2 in my hands tomorrow too..;)
Hopefully fixed headlight wiring. Replaced alternator also.
Gave a local a nice little hell ride also tonight. 4100 rpm, 18psi launch on the auto. Not bad. Now I just need 2-3x the hp and turbo:D
This week's task is to build a an external wastegate setup and WG dump for the 14b. The internal gate may be jacked and figured its good TIG practice anyway.
Local little car even Sunday so planning on getting it ready for some action:)
A slight flamefest unfortunately, but awesomeness none the less...

Edit: Forgot Alan went through the thread with a steam cleaner. The flames are located elswhere now.
Not today but last week. Replaced my tail shaft because of this  Soooooo good to drive it without vibrations.

replaced o2 sensors and rear precat.
didn't solve my problem. still running pigrich... had this problem since summer dno what to do now
Ran out of engine/drivetrain parts to bolt on to the VR4. Just needs fluids, a front bumper, and some splash shields. Can't believe I haven't driven it this year, seems so crazy to me. Oh well, it should be right for years to come now.
Built an external wastegate o2 housing from an ebay o2 housing.

Swapped a 14b for another 14b. Mine was getting loose and had badly chipped up turbine blades. Went for a drive. Must have a 10psi spring in WG. Eventually creeps to 15. Added some wastegate duty cycle and that woke it up. 20psi. Going to keep playing with it to get 20psi to come on quicker and see how long it will hold. A single 14b/6cm is a poor choice for a 2.4l.
Here is the removed 14b next to the winter project....

very crude pictures...hood fitment is still in progress however some scoote2 pictures for the naysayers...;)
My larger plenum touches the hood(thats why its a bit popped up on the drivers side)..need to do a little shaving to make it a bit more flush. Also had to enlarge the hingle holes to make the hood sit forward enough to catch the latch. Still need to install pins which will help in making it sit completely flush and prep/paint the thing....after its all done IMO it should compliment the car very nicely! what do you all think?
btw weight savings of exactly 30lbs! I should now be near 3550ish lbs. planning to hit the scale again before seasons end...

Starts wire wheeling off the back underside of the car. Going to order the coating soon and hope to get some up soon..
Definitely think a right angle die grinder would make this easier.
^^Im jealous .-. lol. What hood is that?
scoote 2
Gosh, for me it's a toss up between the Scoote and the Top Secret. I'd probably lean toward whichever fit better, assuming one of them does.
Love the scoote 2 hood
Geeee, after all the flak i got from brian about putting one on my car....

Spent some time working on removing the casting marks from manifold, water neck and compressor housings. All are likely going to be painted/powder coated, but turns out better with the marks removed at least.
Got the front suspension and most of the subframe off, steering rack will be coming down next time I've got time in the shop. Ordering the Master series coating some time next week to start putting under the car after I get the old crap off.
Also looks better "shaved"...but April can tell you all about that. ;)
Lol doubt I'm going to go that far. Depends on how much free time I have this winter with nothing else to do for the car.
