1 inch on each end for end tanks isn't enough as you need to weld on a pipe of at least 2-2.5" on each one. So unless your going to mount the hose/pipe some weird angle then you need bugger end tanks. Which means smaller cores.......

I'm taking them one cooler at a side, only doing the drivers side at the moment but yes it will have weird angled inlet :) see below picture which will have to be roughly they correct design for both of the bottom of both coolers (one will be angled to go into the side of the car, the other one for the pass will be angled to go back up through the top of the guard.

note how it quite litterally adds less than 1 inch to the total core length.

there is actually room to make it even better than this :) but you get the drift.
Ahh cool. Just try to design the end tanks well, so if flows the air through the whole core. The end tank on the bottom pic is a terrible design. Sometimes it's the only option due to space etc. What you can do is install fins that channel the air through the core better.

planning on pretty much using a hard lead or soft aluminium to mould it into being juuuust right, and then re-brazing it when I'm happy over the top...
maybe even make a metal frame and braze over that, according to a lot of sites it was (again from vague memory) the inlet that's the most important, the exhaust they said could be a bit more squished(good work that one) and still perform well.
anyway given a few weeks and we'll see how we go! quite excited :D actually working on making more power for once! :p :p
Never played with aluminium braizing, only copper. TBH I never knew there was such a thing LOL. Making end tanks shouldn't really be hard. Just takes time and patience to bend/form it to the right shape. Good luck.
