the biggest thing that pisses me off about 3si is how backyard manufacturers were being forced to dump their inventory onto a bigger "paying vendor". that's translated into the end user paying increased $$$ in prices. while i'm ok with the idea of primary sponsorship, squeezing out the "little guys" because they can't pony--that's just diabolical.
