Love it, first found what you've done just the other day. Now you have me wanting to build a 4G 3/S..
QUESTION,
if I were to do a 4G motor swap into a FWD automatic 3000GT..
1. if I decided to later on do a AWD conversion to the 3000GT chassis, would a W4A33(AWD auto) DSM trans swap out and bolt to the 3/S trans mount and be in the correct position for driveshaft-to-TC connection.. ? I imagine the custom motor mounts just need to all be in the aprox correct position done right the first time. 1a. is the IPT high-stall converter the same for use in the F4A33 and the W4A33 applications?
2. I suppose with the right bellhousing that will swap (I can pull off a junk yard 4G FWD auto car), I can use an originally 3000GT auto trans and mate it to the 4G engine. (auto 3000GT I should be getting here already has a fresh trans rebuild)
4G63 2.3 stroker FWD auto 3000GT with a high stall and a reasonable ~450HP turbo is seeming VERY appealing to me, and will be even lighter than a FWD MTX V6 3/S.
Been asked to update over here. So.....
Car is currently running a 2.0l, 10:1 wiseco 1400HD, manley Hbeam and stock 7bolt crank, with stock 1g head, kiggly HD springs and Kelford 280/288 cams. High stall billet tq converter. Still 60mm HX40, but have a 67mm billet wheel and compressor cover on the shelf. Just need center section machined for bigger wheel.
Having a cage built by Brad Abele in Louisville, KY. (He and his brothers run high 7, low 8 sec rwd 4g63's in two foxbody mustangs and one rwd talon.)

I'm picking it up Saturday. Between now and then, he'll mount the seats, install harnesses and mount nitrous bottle.
When I get it back, I am going to scramble to wire nitrous, vacuum pump for brakes, install glass into fiberglass hatch (no lexan for some of the events I plan to run), get turbo machined for bigger comp wheel, install interior, install second walbro 450 (one can't keep up with flow/hp needs when I get to around 40psi), tune and test nitrous staging.
...all before we leave for vacation 3/20 (kids spring break) to run King of Streets at PBIR on 3/25.
Approx race weight with interior and me is 3350. I'll weigh it soon. Still a pig. And King of Streets requires radials, so I'll have to run my street nittos. Not ideal for this competition as they allow drag radials, but I won't invest in those when I plan on running QTPs for the rest of the year.
