Yeah, that Buyer/Seller commission/fee thing is a PITA. The auction houses clean up; it's a win/win for them. I'd have to go with a high reserve. If I do part with it, I'd like to offer it to a friend or someone else who could really appreciate it. I sold my 1978 Red Trans-Am to a medical student many years ago in mint condition. He had it for a few years & sold it to his brother. It's still going strong & looks gorgeous. It was fully loaded with paint to rival a FERRARI (no joke), had the WS-6 handling package with offset mags & TA 6.6 engine, not the OLDS 403. Sold the 1979 Metallic Blue Trans-Am to another guy in perfect shape. It was a TA 6.6 w/functional shaker hood scoop, 4 speed HURST, louver kit, driving lights, graphics, custom exhaust, headlight covers, WS-6 & 4 wheel disk brakes. I saw it again 3 months later with the nose smashed in, front spoiler broken off, one driving light dangling from a wire & a red door on the passenger side of a blue car. It looked like it never had a bath & was driven in & out of ditches. OK, I'm starting to ramble. My VR-4 has been an exceptional piece of engineering & needs a good home. Subconsciously, I want to keep it somehow & still have a GT-R, but I just don't have the room & I do not want to store it outside for 4 seasons. No doubt, I want too much for it, but I feel that a perfect car should bring a few extra quatloos.
