It is my understanding that they can take an animal if there is evidence of abuse. My guess would be it is done alongside law enforcement.

this is correct. they carry weapons and have arresting powers iirc. there's a show on animal planet that's kinda like cops. it's really hard for them to take an animal away from an abusive owner. damn shame really.

Interesting... Not in this State. Here the County has an animal control department that handles that. Humane Society only runs a shelter that is considered by many to be a preferable fate for an animal than ending up in the hands of the County...

So a Demotivator for me. Had Steve Wozniak as a "friend" on Facebook. Long story short, my mother's maiden name is also Wozniak, she received a call from him before he invented the PC and told her all about it. I heard this story and have always admired him.

Back to story. Steve Wozniak removed me as a friend, along with others because he posted Anti-Gun/Anti-2nd Amendment pics up on his page, and got pissed that people were challenging what the picture said. He came in saying he only posts photos for entertainment purposes, and didn't want any debates or discussions about them. Told everyone that didn't like it to unfriend him, and those that didn't were booted by him so he can remain in an echo chamber.

I still respect the man for what he has done, but lost a lot of respect for him now. It's a real shame, because he seems like a nice guy. Just wants to live in an echo chamber and pretend everyone agrees with him.
