I sure am glad I didn't shell out that ridiculous amount of money to watch that stupid fight. I'm old enough to remember that's why you got HBO. Boxing has sucked ever since Don King screwed it up.

I remember watching some of the welterweight (maybe even featherweight) fights back in the day. They didn't get the draw of the heavyweight fights, but those dudes could fight. I still have memories of watching one match where one of the boxers had a HUGE mouse under his eye and they kept cutting it between rounds to try to keep the swelling down and finally he ended up winning by KO, even though he was partially blind in that eye at that point.

Even UFC PPV's piss me off. I still remember ordering PPV for Shamrock v Ortiz 2 and was livid at the short stoppage. I personally haven't bought another PPV since then. My brother has and had people over to his house to watch and I chipped in to help him pay, but I won't buy any myself.

UFC is hit or miss. I've always been excited to see guys like Clay Guida and GSP fight. Guys like Anderson Silva and Brock Lesnar---not so much. You just kinda have to pick what you want to see. Sometimes you just know certain fighters are going to deliver. That's why I loved watching Evan Tanner BITD (rip, dude).

but really the 2 most boring fights I've ever seen in my life were with him vs Damien Maia and that Diaz douche'. worst fights ever.
