Problem is the face is the only thing visible when installed. You would then have to copy the mark/apply the tape to the exact same place on the new face. I'm sure ppl will work out their own methods. Just don't forget this bit hahahaQuote:

The clear plastic cover is help on with clips. Just unclip one by one and the plastic will come loose. However there is a slight issue with this bit. The odd counter reset rod does not fit through the hole as the top is wider. I managed to push it through with some force cus I could not work out how the rod came out. After this I worked out the rod does come out but requires quite a bit of force to get it out.

The rod does pull out but I was affraid it would break so I held pressure on the dial face around the rod and then pulled until it came off.
You then need to remove the black plastic bit using the same method as the clear cover. Pushing a knife between the seam helped and then push the clips with another knife etc.
Once the cover is off you can remove the needles by pulling them straight off. For the fuel guage I marked the outer white plastic edge where the needle pointed so when I put it back on I could just aim the needle at the mark I created and it would be right. This method however will not work for the speedo or the tacho. The speedo will need to be reset using a gps [as stated in my previous post] and the tacho will need to marked when idling and then push it back on at the same place after the car has warmed up and idling again.
There are 2 screw holding each face on. Simply remove these and the face will lift off.
The other issue is the pin that stops the needle falling past the 0 point. On the origional faces there is a hole that the needle goes through and the rear part has been melted to hold it in place. I used a sharp knife to cut the back of the pin so I could remove the pin and used the same method to attach it to the new face. Just be very careful not to melt the new face.
As this took far too long and i'm impatient and was sitting in a motel using a knife and a lighter to heat the knife blade to melt the pin, I gave up on this method for the 2nd face. I would however NOT recommend this method. But I just a section out of the old face that had the pin on it and just layed it under the new face. I cut it so one of the screw holes could also be used to hold it in place. The problem with this is that if I ever need to reverse this i'm screwed.

I screwed it all back together and it worked. I still have to try to set the speedo correctly and the tacho is just a guess lol but it seems close enough.

use the lighter to heat up a paperclip and use that to punch the hole?
There is already a hole bunched in the new face. You just need to find a good method to remove the pin from the old face [i just cut the back of the old pin] and it fits perfectly into the pre-punched hole on the new face. You then need to melt the back like the origional to hold it in place or use some glue. Or just butcher it like I did on the other face lol.
OK... time to work out postage. Everyone who bought a dial set please pm me your address and if possible please advice me what other members are close to you that you can collect from [ie make a meet out of it].
