Yeah, let me know, I'll come over and spill beer on the carpet.
Beer? Think you mean frozen margaritas. Once I've gotten the car and most of my parts moved up here I'll let you know. Moving shit today and cutting the lumber for the workbench.
Loosening up the head bolts to allow some play gives me what I need to get the lower on. Seems to be clearance from no HGs, however could only find one used one. Got some more on the way but not concerned by it at this point. At any rate, Tis enough to fit the waterneck and lower intake manifold properly. Brought up the coil pack and PTU, which will also be getting mounted up so that I can do one last test fit of the coolant lines.

Other than that I got another load of stuff up, rough cut some wood for the work bench. This is the upper shelf and the two drawers. Topping them with a stain and urethane all in one for protection against any leaking fluids damaging the wood (which is what took out the old ones.)
Still need new lumber for the lower shelf and main bench, as well as new pegboard. Still think I'll be wrapping the main bench in sheet steel for durability reasons. Even with urethane on top not sure it'd handle the abuse.
So doing some cleaning of the valve covers behind the baffles, as well as the lower intake manifold (which will be getting a very mild shaving before powder coating.) Was pretty nasty back there, however in examining the hole for the PCV system, it leads me to wonder.
Could we not enlarge the hole (as it looks to be smaller still than even the actual PCV valve) to help compensate for the greater airflow of larger turbos? Perhaps help prevent pressurization of the crank case and leaking oil around the oil cap?
Already planning on running a larger check valve (as well as probably switching over to AN style hose and fittings instead of the clamped rubbers) but simply upping the size of the check valve (and even the size of the lines) seems like it would be semi pointless if it all gets necked down there.
Beyond that, contemplating if switching to a screw in style oil cap (over our quarter turn style) might help seal better as well. Any thoughts on that front?
I cut the tab that sticks out for the PCV and drilled mine open and welded on a -10AN. You could prob just tap it for a large barb fitting. I had to space my coil pack out to clear my AN hose fitting. Think I used a 90 or 45. Can't remember now.
You cut the whole tab off, or just drilled out and tapped where the PCV threads into it for a larger size?
That stuff aside, heard back from the machine shop today, the spare crank I was going to get turned to sell and bring in some extra monies is bent by about 14 thousandths. So I'm obviously not going to get it fixed and turned as I would never get my money back out of it. As such, I will be headed out there to pick up my block and internals. Probably turn that crank into a lamp or something :P
