After a long night of binge-watching Netflix, this guy clicks over to eBay Motors and — in a questionable decision — decides to bid on an old Škoda. He wins the auction! The next day, he has a friend drive him out to pick up the car. It fires up, but is running a bit rough. The buyer heads home. On the way, the roughness increases. Power goes down. He's barely able to hobble into the parking lot of a foreign car mechanic. It's almost closing time, but the mechanic agrees to take a look, surprised to see an Eastern Bloc car sitting on his lot.
The mechanic pokes around under the hood for a little bit... The underhood lamp flickers as he does, and he immediately figures out the problem — a loose wire to the lamp was rubbing and shorting, causing an electrical drain.
"There's your problem," the mechanic says, "it's that damn Czech engine light."
