Not sure how I feel about that. On the one hand, I'm all like "AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!!!". On the other hand, I'm also well aware of how difficult it is to "win" (in Bush Jr's terms) the "hearts and minds"--and blaring OUR national anthem during THEIR prayer time doesn't seem to jive with that. Yes, a part of me wants to yell "FUCK YOU" to everything about islam, because let's face it, islam has done nothing to encourage progress, humanitarianism or advance the human race....in roughly the last 1,000 years (not that Catholicism, Judaism, Hinduism or Christianity has done much better). And apart from lone wackos like that psycho in Norway, none of those other religions is wantonly executing people in the name of their god left and right--especially in gruesome fashion on camera and distributed for public broadcast. Of course, the easiest solution would be to support the Kurds having their own independent state on the same region now claimed by ISIS, but that's not gonna happen.Quote:
