Indeed Nathan, you can find some steals. I'm going to cut new wood for the shelves on the work bench (the original was particle board and in piss poor shape) otherwise it's a steal and a half.
Moving more shit today, I'd take a picture of my garage atm but it is trashed and stacked with stuff. Have to go through and clean stuff up, inventory and take pictures and get it posted and sold. Still tons more shit to bring up, but have to set up the shelving in the spare bedroom first. Hopefully I can get some cash in to fund the rest of this rebuild.
I gave Chris a hand at the Ninja shop over the weekend on the way back, was going to pick up my trans and transfer case, but then remembered the output shaft and input spool need replacing at a minimum anyhow so I'm just going to leave it for him to do that so I don't take out what's left of the splines on it my first time out after the rebuild.
The only semi tolerable pictures of the place as I'm moving. Still lots of crap to sort through and sell or find places for. There's still a couple piles of boxes and totes that I didn't take pictures of because I have to protect what's left of my dignity.

Well, the shelves for the workbench ended up being useless. Going to have to get some new plywood or similar in a 2'x4' size, same with the pegboard. They'll be getting tossed shortly once I get some replacements. Thinking some 1/4" thick 2'x4' plywood or MDF then wrap with 28ga stainless or galvanized steel sheets to give it a bit more strength.
Did get a deposit on the spare engine so that should at least cover the costs of my machine work for my new engine. Probably be another week or two before I pick it up (pending when I've got the time to get out there and when they've turned that spare crank for the spare engine.)
Did complete the waterneck AN conversion, cut the lines and set them up. Just need to order new adapters for the turbo side since the TD05 coolant threading is larger than the TD04. We'll see how I feel about it once I have a long block assembled, still going straight fittings, but may end up switching over to banjo fittings on the turbo side for clearance purposes.
Going to sit down and write up a list this weekend of everything left to get done just to get it back on the road, and then a longer list of everything that I want to get done all together.
Looks like a decent place Bryan
Thanks Paul. Once I'm done with the move you'll have to come check it out.
Spent a couple hours today cleaning up the garage a bit and measuring out wood to cut for the workbench. Also test fitting the engine back together with the spare block.
At the moment can't get my lower intake Mani back on there (or any of the spares.) Not sure if I'm overlooking something ATM but didn't want to force it. No HGs on and heads are only being held on by about 3 head bolts each.

I will be going down to the car tomorrow to bring some more stuff back up and spray for hornets so I won't get stung when I move the car, but I'll likely spend a few hours messing around with this tomorrow night. Want to test fit the majority of the engine before I get the spare crank back and ship this block out.
Shaving head and no HG will make a difference since you are changing where the studs on head are. Try again when you have the HG on. You "may" have to ovalize the holes on intake mani.
you sure its not on there backwards?
That was my first thought, checked to make sure the PCV was on the right side (which it was) then tried flipping it anyhow for giggles just to make sure.
That's about what I'm thinking Eric. The heads are pretty much at the limit of how much they can be decked and without any HGs in there, it's probably throwing it off just enough. I plan on seeing if I can round up some old HGs when I'm at the car tomorrow to throw on there for this test fitting. Also contemplated if it was perhaps because I only have 1 alignment dowel on each side of the block atm, but wouldn't the head bolts being bolted in kind of eliminate that?
I feel fairly certain that if I were to back the bolts out a bit that I could probably get the wiggle room to fit it, but may still require ovalizing the holes. The middle holes line up right on, it's just the end most holes are just off. We'll see where I end up with HGs on it. Don't suppose I can get HGs that are thicker to make up the difference of the milled heads perhaps? The whole point of test fitting this stuff was to test fit the turbo AN coolant line conversion one last time and make sure that it was all gravy with the PTU and coil packs and shit, but may be uncovering some other issues.
