Ok We have ECU flash reading the stock ROM, have not tried to flash it yet but i would guess that it will work no problem.
got a few questions/problems
#1 using evoscan 2.6 we are getting a error "open port 2 USB cable not responding"
we have uninstalled evoscan 2.6 then reinstalled it still no luck,
uninstalled drivers then reinstalled them still no luck
next option we would want to try is evoscan 2.9 but dont know/couldnt figure out where to put the XML file that we downloaded for it?
If you downloaded the newer Ecuflash software, the driver's will make it incompatible with Evoscan. There's a couple ways to make it work, or work arounds. You're gonna have to research it on another forum.Quote:

Feel like a fool. This whole time I have been using the wrong data settings in ES 2.6. Even though I had evoscan in a directory on c:\ with it's own data settings folder. It was using some old settings folder in users\paul\datasettings from a previous install. (i think 2.5 when I logged my JDM ecu).
It clicked when I was stuffing around with the Request IDs and thought I better revert to the base settings. Replaced the settings file and it didn't change hmm. Found the other folder and put Greg's settings inside and started up 2.6 and there it was completely different everything was arranged and labelled lovely!
So any way I'm a very happy camper did some 2byte load logging tonight and just finished modifying the fuel maps to load in and do some fine tuning tomorrow. Mainly the closed loop to open loop transitions and also high rpm low load areas to stop me fuelling up during shifts/rev limiter. I'm seeing 226 load at 4343rpm. :Bow:
In regards to the 95+ JDM GTO manual for ECU pinout I asked a few people on the 3si forum and they said that it's very difficult to find one, sometimes they show up on japan yahoo auctions.
Also, my open loop bov stalling issue seems to go away the after a little bit of driving ?
Question about the low/high fuel voltage:
I was told that if I spade the fuel pump relay I will have constant fuel voltage and won't need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, what do you guys suggest - I have a Greddy 16g setup with 680 injectors ?

Both, from what I understand all GTOs have the same ECU.
There should be slight changes between 1st and 2nd gen [also 99 is slightly different again]. Main change being radiator fans. 1st gen they are controlled by radiator mounted sensors. 2nd gen they are controlled by the ECU IIRC.
