realized its a piece of shit. interior needs literally everything, even the f***ing screws. paints faded, motor isnt where i want it, and engine bay is dirty.
if its that terrible, I'll take it off your hands for $5.
learn to look past that stuff and just enjoy it for what it is...my vr4 is no showroom and dyno queen by any means either. but I still love it, still puts a smile on my face...even with its fucked up front end, dented fender, paint chips, destroyed front bumper, and not so great interior.
right, but i wish the previous owner atleast would have left me the door panel screws, re panel screws, door sill screws, and didnt spray paint the interior black. thats all im asking.
ah, that would be annoying :/ I bought a DSM like that, took awhile to scavange all the parts in good condition to replace the spray painted ones.
Jester's PNP flash ECU installed. Wired up the NLTS and WB02 logging. Launch control scared the wife.
I got in a bunch of little things I've been waiting on & did another batch of plating, so sometime over the weekend I'll be able to start putting my cooling system back together & get all of the new silicone vacuum & water hoses on...I should be able to get my rear turbo/exhaust back on, too.

Installed the PTE 550cc injectors I've had sitting in a case since 2009, along with new Ford injector squeeze-clip plugs. Then loomed them all nice-nice.
Punched a couple numbers into ECUflash and bam, runs and drives like I never put bigger injectors in. Flash tuning makes this laughably easy.
All that's left is to turn up the boost!
mocking up (as best as I could with 1 hand) reversing my turbo and plumbing 4" exhaust while doing a wiring harness tuck to
a) better manage my underhood temps and move the heat further away from critical components
b) open up the engine bay s'moh by getting rid of that ratty heat shielding that frayed itself apart
c) spare my wiring from potentially melting

I found a wheel alignment out of whack so eyeballed that to fix. Then decided to finally see if the Mustang wheels would fit on the Jeep. They do, and with a lot more clearance than on the 3s. Some bigger tires and I think it would look decent.

Testing for fitment is a disease. :p
Once I got my car back from Pampena Motorsports, the next morning I installed the new wheels, clear corners, and did the snake eye delete.
Well, heres the before and after pics.
Looking good Slacker.
Turned boost up another 2 psi. Still haven't had to make any tuning adjustments. Up to 397whp @ 17psi (VD) from 290whp @ 12 psi. Why is flash tuning so easy?
Going to start playing with timing and AFR's once I encounter some knock.
Installed my fic high impendence injectors, 3sx rails , aeromotive fuel filter , fuel lab fpr .. Lets try this 1 last time .
Good luck man, would hate to see you have problems with it again.
Cranked the VR-4 for the first time since late Feb. There's nothing wrong with it, I am just no longer using it as a daily driver. Warmed it up, drove it to get an emissions test, and it passed with flying colors. Now it's back sleeping in the garage. It has new tires and a full tank of gas. Anyone want to buy it? $12K and it's yours...
Changed oil and oil filter on my SL. Finished up, started the car, anddddddddd all 5 quarts of oil from the car spilled all over the garage. Fml.
Was on my way to work 2 days ago..

Seems like tensioner gave out and the belt walked a little into my timing belt covers then skipped time. Welcome to the bent valve club.
Bummer :(
I swapped in some better condition leather door cards I found at the junkyard. My old door cards sagged badly and look like a dog chewed on it. Next is to replace the center light bar with the 2g version i found on the same junk car. Im lucky it was white like my car.
I did some more painting & electroplating...

Happened to me once.
put some of my big tyla ground wires on hoping it would help alleviate my starter issues. maybe its the starter thats the problem...?
Prob not. Its usually the wire that triggers the starter to actually work. It's small, and over time it tends to break down. There are several fixes for it including my super slick fix using OEM parts in the fuse box. :-)

do you have a link to that smoking?
i replaced my ignition switch last year because that was "supposed" to fix it, however it didnt change. then i thought it may not be getting a good ground since the PO moved the battery to the back, but still no fix.
i know the wire you speak of, but im not sure how to modify it to make it work mo' betta
No, I haven't done a wire up yet. Mist people add a relay tripoed my the original starter wire using the battery for more amperage. I rewired a relay in the fues box to become my starter relay and fix that issue.

My positive wire to the starter (big fat one) was corroded really badly. Check that too.
Started assembling my struts, then found out the the rear Tein pillow mounts need modification to the collars, so I took them to the local machine shop to have them bored out to the proper diameter.
like a 1/16 of an inch, being that it is solid metal, I have no concerns. The other thing I just did....
Cut the spring perches off my brand new struts! :eek4: or :suspect: ???
Got my bent PS Tie rod replaced and got an alignment and went to get some E85, damn I was busy today
I half assed covered my car with an old pop-up canopy top to keep water out of it. Will start disassembly this weekend
Re-gapped my new copper plugs down to .024" to try and eliminate what I thought was spark blowout, but then I found this:

So I don't know if it was blowout or the one cylinder being down under boost because of that large gap. Either way, problem solved. Boost is back up to 17psi, and she scoots. :)
I put a few parts in the Stealth. I need to prep it for its drive to its and my new home.
I took the majority of my 3s parts over to the new house already. Grand Prix is filthy now,
