China had a 2 week holiday and hasn't even made my PCB order. So it's going to be several weeks before I can build the first one.
I just ordered one of these along with a MAC boost control solenoid (35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA) but I'm curious what external vacuum/boost sensors can be used? I've read about 3/4 of the posts in this thread and saw a Greddy 4 bar map sensor and a GM 3 bar map sensor mentioned. Do any others work? A quick Google search for "Greddy 4 Bar Map sensor" didn't yield many results and from the sounds of it would be rather expensive anyway. As for the GM 3 bar map sensor, is this (eBay link) what I'm looking for?
Also, LCDBoostController.com no longer works. Is there another place where I can download the documents (such as the most up to date manual) that I've seen talked about throughout this thread?

UPDATE: I think I answered my own question regarding the GM MAP sensor. It appears im looking for part #12223861.

Will that map sensor work? I really dont know what Im looking for, but Id like to be able to remove the boost gauge I have to unclutter things...
What are you guys doing with the map sensor, the installation manual doesn't even mention needing one.
I think that's the "knockoff" version of the GM part # 12223861 I posted and I think that's the same one in the eBay link I posted as well. Cloneecu.com sells this sensor. I'm not sure if they're selling an actual GM product or not. In the ad, they mention that some of the cheaper units (or as they call them, "cheap Chinese imports"), have different scaling. So I'm leaning towards buying from CloneECU or buying a Delphi 12223861.
I was looking at using the external MAP sensor instead of the built in pressure sensor. I found the instruction manual the other day; the MAP sensor is mentioned on page 3 of the latest (at least I think it's the latest) manual where the PSI Sensor type is specified. From what I understand, the external MAP sensor will also read vacuum which I like for whatever reason. :courage: Personally, I've never been fond of running the thick vacuum line through the firewall so that's the big reason I'm looking at using the external sensor; unless for some reason running the vacuum line straight to the internal pressure sensor actually performs better.
You are referring to the PDF for installing the LCDBoostController? BTW the site works just fine for me
The only PDF file on the site that references the MAP sensor is for AEM applications
OK found it it is in the users guide, now I have to ask how do you incorporate it?
