glad to be here from 3si. alan, youre the man! been a member of 3si for about 3 years and socals3s for about 4 or 5. too lazy to check the exact dates and mental math is not my strong point. this site looks badass already!

I have a 99 jetta at the moment that i was using but now it has just officially crapped out on me too, so now I have a tough decision.. do i take the little cash i have and put it into rebuilding the jetta (which i would rather just get rid of), or do I take a chance and put the money into getting the beloved 3000 back and running and try and sell the jetta as is...... the 3000 has 80,000 miles and the jetta has 120,000, plus jetta has broken wiper motors, air conditioning, etc, while the 3000 is all in good condition.. Either way, I will only have one working vehicle
I know in the end its my choice, and i apologize if my story is a bit of a bore, just curious what the fellow 3000 guys suggestions were

I guess this is the new cool place to be. I used to go by HotelKilo06 on 3SI but im trying to switch to a new username on the interwebs. I've had my VR4 for a little over 4 years now, but the poor reliability is making me question if I want to keep it. Plus it was hard to get good info on fixing things on 3SI if you werent a forum favorite. Hopefully this place will be different and I'll keep the car running for awhile longer.

Sucks that the money made on the forums was not put back into the community...no huge surprise though...I really hope this takes off.

New here, from 3Si.org. Just picked up 94 3kGT that needs an engine rebuild. Spun bearing among other things. Glad to hear about the new site. Will there be a calendar? Im totally down for one
