What is the criteria for saving peak boost? Every time I try to check it it has already set a much lower peak that what I know I pulled. (like I'll see it hit 19.X on the screen, switch over to the peak display, and it will say something like 1.5 psi peak)
This is using the GM 3 bar MAP.
How about a EGT, and Oil Pressure display feature, for the AEM EMS. I'm with xwire on Knock Voltage display.
This morning I found all the info I need for the Vi-Pec ECU. Looks like I'll be busy coding.

I think that's a good idea, but IMO it would be more useful if it reset on a new boost event. I'd think something like 5-6 psi would work pretty well.
Another clarification question: I'm going to have to start playing with the temperature DC offset. You have it in 30 deg increments. If I add correction to one increment, I'm correcting from that increment and above correct? For example, if i correct 20 deg at -1, I'm pulling it from between 20 and 50 degrees?

I'll make a new config option for "Automatic peak boost reset=yes/no". This will keep both group of users happy.
As for the AEM EMS version, I've picked 10 popular logging items and the remaining 9 items are user definable -- allowing you to choose whatever AEM EMS allows you to datalog.

if i don't want this thing to control boost, is it just a matter of not plumbing a vacuum hose to the pressure sensor? i ask because i have my EMS controlling boost.

I can make my device also function as an OBD2 ECU simulator. Is there any interest in this? I know that when AEM EMS owners switch over, they lose OBD2 functionality. I can make this device pretend to be an ECU and produce valid OBD2 ISO9141-2 frames (which is what our cars uses).

There's hundreds of displayable items available to AEM EMS telemetry but I didn't see boost, unless they have it under a different name. You could always use the built-in pressure sensor to read boost.
Yes, I can produce all the OBD2 engine monitors returned as done/completed for OBD2 requests.

b) I've got a scanmaster ... Does this work with the scanmaster or would I be able to sell that?
c) Is that a Parallax LCD? haha... I've interacted with that company in the past, and when they answer, it always makes me laugh. "Sup dude?"
What pushes this product over the edge (and motivates me to consider selling my scanmaster and DSBC-R) is that it pulls boost in response to knock and/or AF.
a) Not sure but I have a few Blitz boost controllers. I was just going to buy a boost solenoid like talked about earlier in the thread.
b) You might as well sell the Scanmaster. No redundancy needed. :p That's what I did.
c) Not sure. It's a great LCD though. I need to get mine installed on the Stealth. It shouldn't be hard. I don't have the most updated version right now since it has been sitting for a few months, but this will probably be the or a very close 2nd to my favorite mod done.
New 2.21 firmware is out. Added ISC steps, Air volume, Airflow/rev. In case your coolant temperature sensor is getting old and is sending incorrect data occasionally, the coolant alert will now display triggered coolant temperature and not the current coolant temperature. This should assist in troubleshooting. PeakPSI had the decimal place in the wrong place only if you had an external GM pressure sensors, fixed.
Good stuff, but I've been meaning to mention that the last two times I datalogged using EvoScan, I noticed that the water temp readings (only on the logs) were stuck at 300+ and not changing at all. I did multiple logs and each log shows this anomally. Has anyone else mentioned this to you? Is the request id different then the stock one that comes with EvoScan?
I just finally made a cable to connect mine. Having a few problems with disconnecting, but have not upgraded software yet.
My water temps show around the 348 range and do not move either. I have only drove it once since connecting the cable, so I will keep an eye on it...
Nope no one has mentioned it before. I did noticed EvoScan uses the exact same request code for coolant and air temperatures that I use, but interprets the data incorrectly for our cars. That's why there is some disagreement between my unit and Evoscan. I'll take a look and see what my evoscan log shows.
V2.22 firmware fixes the datalog coolant problem (it's datalog priority was too low and never updated).
The AEM version can now read Boost (PSI) and Wideband (AFR) directly from the AEM EMS (via serial stream). This should simplify installation. I'll update the manual with a few examples on how to do this.

I am FINALLY installing mine.
I am about 98% sure this is the right side up judging from the installation pictures and the text on the back of the board but the instructions do not show a 100% right side up picture. Before I glue everything together I want to be 100% sure.
Is this the correct direction for the LCD screen?
