gotta say, I'm a huge fan of the valve cover shave...I assume you could do that to any valve cover?

I dont see why not, i know that some have a small hole left when you grind off the letters, it was a casting flaw.I believe its the mitsu ones under the mitsu emblem, but its easily fixed. Im very happy with the results, it took about 15 mins to shave and sand, well worth it.
Time for an update, i started working on it again, got in the material to do the front end, so i got it all prepped, and starting thinking of ideas for where to put everything.
here is pretty much the final cut on each side, i will clean it up a little more before paint but its where it needs to be for now.

I think im almost completely decided on just going with a single turbo, that was my first idea and i still think the best one. Probably a 6262 for this year, then have it rebuilt into a 6765 next year when its time to go really fast.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the front end. That single would go great right there, nothing nearby to burn up and right in the path of incoming air.
Updates?
Crazy setup man!
Heres the latest, i cut up the plates friday night, and after work on saturday i bent up the tube. I have to say, im very happy with how it turned out so far being my first time bending tube. It will be trimmed back a little bit but this is the basic shape of the main tube. The whole front end will bolt on/off for easy access when the motor explodes :p
From this main tube everything else will be supported, front motor mount and probably a brace to the subframe. Also the supports for the headlights, oil cooler, radiator, front mount, ect...

Very nice! I'll be following this closely! I've always wanted to do something like that
