Cool, I think I have some pallets at home, they are the big ones, but I'll just cut it down. will be sending the block, heads, with rotating assembly, so it'll be pretty heavy. I wonder how we are supposed to calculate the weight of all that. I know the block is about 150.

Full long block and tranny comes in at 685 IIRC. So probably around 500ish for the long block.

You could potentially ship to a terminal (if Ray is down for that) which can be cheaper.

of that reminds me if Ray sees this, do you want the crank pulley and flywheel for balancing? Clutch?

The trick for shipping transmissions is to put them in the biggest box the ups store sells. Then build support structure inside using more cardboard. Then wrap the transmission in shrink wrap, wrap it in that foam packaging stuff, rewrap in shrink wrap. Put in box, stuff more cardboard in gaps.

I shipped one for 155$ fully insured for 2500$ that way.

greyhound is pretty decent too..
