While I was picking up C16 at a local shop today, I asked them about reconditioning old tires. The BFG DR's are from 2005(!!) and the QTP's are from 2009 or 2010. They mentioned some stuff called "formula V". It's allegedly an oil you can soak tires in to rejuvenate the rubber.
Oh, and C16 is only ~$15/gallon locally. Quite the bargain, and pretty easy math @ 10 gallons ;)
PS: I'll actually be quite surprised if a bearing spins. My engine has had this sort of shitty oil pressure for over a decade, LOL. The only time it wasn't this low was when I was able to artificially inflate it by bypassing my oil cooler (I didn't realize that's what I was doing at the time when I followed 2mitsus' lead).

no... and unfortunately, I'm not optimistic I'll ever make one given my history. I keep thinking I'll make one until it comes time to pull the trigger. Then I realize that I use my vacation to see all-inclusive foreign beaches (scuba, sand volleyball, tittays), not the drag strip...

If I can motivate myself to pressure test and make sure my logger and everything is set-up correctly this weekend, I'd like to dyno in the next couple weeks on C16 just to see the current health of the engine.
