There are 2 sending units, the gauge is on the pump right next to the one th ecu see which is in the block. They are reporting the same pressures as when the gauge reads ~10psi the dummy light flickers. So with your logic it may be the pump afterall?
Edit: I see, so possibly the damn restrictors... :(
-
Looks like I will be checking for bearing damage, and if there is the whole lot comes out again. If no bearing damage I will pull the front head to see if the restrictors are present, and go from there. This is so fun!

Well, it seems I need some bearings.

I need a new socket for the head bolts, the last one busted. (cheap pos all I could find local) Front head will come off to see about a missing part. If the front is there I will pull the rear. If the rear is there the machine shop just got a reprieve from assault, the engine comes out for bearings, and may need a fucking crank.
I am ussually the guy that rolls with the punches, but this is getting stupid.

really looks like oil starvation. What did you find inside the pump?

Got disgusted, and left the shop. I will pop it open tomorrow nght after I get a socket for the heads.

I'm really impressed with your determination Coopkill.
When I had to pop open my gearbox for the third time this years due to bearing noises I felt like throwing the whole thing in the sea so I can understand how you must feel about your engine.
