I'm running the evo maf now. If you are running AEM on a full professional tune, then yeah, go with any maf you want or mafless. But between having the ability to have a factory like tune with control of almost everything in a capable but slightly restrictive maf, or turning 4 or 5 knobs trying to get a close to decent a/f ratio while keeping the driveability somewhere reasonable through an open maf with no timing control or factory safety features.... I chose to have the first option, and I'm sooooo glad I did.

There is so much to be said for just firing the car up, putting it in gear, and mashing the skinny pedal.

My cousin rode in the car with me tonight, he works at a performance shop where I got my car dyno'd before, and he used to always give my shit about my car running like crap, and my 90's electronics. He almost convinced me to buy an AEM quite a few times. He rode in the car today and was like, "oh yeah! the car feels so much better". I swear I thought my dr500's spooled fast before, but it's like an instant surge to 17 psi and pulls it to redline.

Thanks man. It needs to be cleaned up more, and have a few minor things replaced, but overall I'm psyched to own this car again.

Also,

does the dyno feature from evoscan work for our cars (especially on my 92)? I checked the box, but it never tells me any numbers. It would be cool if the numbers were consistent, not for bragging rights, but for tuning purposes.

I actually have my HD cleared to work on editting a massive video and can't look at the file right now but I thought there was one "map" (dunno what to do call it, it was in the column with the timing/fuel/etc. tables) that had something to do with this. Now that I am thinking about it, maybe I am just remembering this from watching the video on YouTube that you linked to where the guy is discussing tuning an Evo? Sorry! lol

Hey to any one running 1000cc inj or bigger... Do you have problems flooding your car if you stall it?
