My mom was going to take my niece and nephew out to the National Historical Site tomorrow to take pictures and go for a walk, but it's closed due to the shutdown too.

AFN? Yuck...nothing on tv is so good as to be put through those damn commercials every ten minutes.

well i usually watched AFN movie...which has like 2 commercial breaks per movie--but....

can someone explain why congress is still paid during a shutdown? i mean...this is their ONE FUCKING JOB--and they couldn't even do that right. furthermore, why should ANYONE at washington be up for re-election after a debacle like this? they should be permabanned. hell, i'd be up for giving each one a 1 year prison sentence for each week we spend in shutdown.
