So do I, the only thing that stopped it happening was gear selection issues. Of the 4 times I actually launched it as opposed to rolling out of the hole, I only managed 1 clean pass and this was it.Quote:
I wanna see a 9 second pass too!!
André
Still a black image of Nada...

André
Who did you get the CF Hatch from?
Andy's Auto Sport as the shipping charges were hundreds cheaper
André
Which one did you pick up? VIS or CC?
Carbon Creations as it was in stock
André
Let me know what you think of it once it arrives. And how well it holds up.
Where are you getting the lexan from?
already got the lexan some time ago from Taylor Vertex
André
On my last outing I managed to do the whole handling course in 2nd! But I had so much lateral grip I managed to fuel starve the engine for 6 whole seconds, then another 4 seconds before the revs picked up to get back in the power band. :o
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...h_DSCF5500.jpg
Then I took the tips of the teeth off the bevel gears in the TC, broke 3rd gear which meant I had to do 1st, 2nd, 4th for the standing km......except I hit 6th instead of 4th before finally selecting the right gear. I still managed 166.8 mph though
Then I broke the gearbox on the 1-2 shift.....just a a little :woops:

O___O
Stop breaking shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p
Wow never seen a W6MG1 fail like that before. Looks like you need a larger part of the case made from billet and not just the end case.
Are the gears cut at a different angle that might increase the end load on the gearbox casing? Anyplans for a gearbox brace?
Sent from my BlackBerry 9800 using Tapatalk
Obviously a defective trans axle case. Cheap ass Getrag/Mitsubishi crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good LORD you guys across the pond are on a roll with these transmissions!
The gears are semi helical so less load. The end housing is billet and the bell housing had a full brace. It has been confirmed that both the brace and end housing did their job perfectly as the shafts and gears on the shafts showed no signs of separation. Not sure if it was the front diff that decided to exit first or whether there could have been stress cracks in the housings from previous failures.
André
Maybe the damage is a torque split issue or balance between the left and right axles? It's quite obvious from the pic the front diff isn't playing nice. Are there teeth missing on the front output shaft? Looks like the break originated at the front diff and ended at the front diff. That's a good one :p
I don't know if it's a torque split issue as I have 50:50 ramp rate on both front and centre diff. Although I do agree it looks like the front diff wanted out in a hurry!
André
:lo5l::lo5l::lo5l::lo5l::lo5l:
No, but would you care to get me some? :lo5l::lo5l:
André
When you going to open it up to see what caused the front diff to bind and kick it out of the house? You going to investigate the transmission or just swap in a new one?
Elite are investigating now. I have a new bell housing and mid case ready but we will need to make a new brace for the bell housing. They are currently preparing a repair estimate for me.
André
damn, in for more pics of the damage joises
How the hell did u break the dogbox!!??
