Shaun, I have a question.
Why have you not just filed in small claims court to recoup the money you claim that Ryan owes you? Not sure what the cost is in Oregon. Maybe $10 to file?
Honestly, that is what people in our society do if someone is owed money and can't get paid. A car forum public opinion won't get you anything (other than perhaps some temporary satisfaction?). Trying to harm Ryan's future business won't get your money (but might get you fine/jail time if damages proven). Only the law can get you your money. So if it is like you say it should be easy to pay the $10, file the claim, tell the judge your side, Ryan tells his, the law decides. Done. THAT is what will end it. If the $10 is a problem I will gladly paypal it to you. A gift.
You cannot display a persons copyrighted images, or use their company name without permission on a website. I am surprised the hosting company hasn't been ordered to take the site down. You can't win anything doing things like that. It is not legal. Two rights don't make a wrong. Once you get into court it will hurt your cause. I guarantee it. You cannot legally do that stuff because he owes you money. No more than a mechanic can keep your car or a landlord not give you your furniture (or any other myriad of examples). It doesn't work that way.
I'm not trying to say you are right or wrong on the overall issue that you are owed money or anything else. But holding hostage other people's property (including intellectual, photos, company name, etc) is 100% illegal. Do yourself a favor and take the step to remove that stuff. The court will make you do it, of that there is not doubt. Do it voluntarily before ordered to and maybe you'll avoid some other court problems. Maybe Ryan will also then take a step forward too towards resolution and paying you.

lol.. haven't faced? Anyone who contacts us has gotten a refund or has been taken care of. And if the wait time is critical people can opt to get refunded at any time. We aren't forcing anyone to wait for there product if its a rush shipment.
This seems like no one has experience with SCC or lawsuits? Neither side has to ask the others permission. I'm surprised one hasn't filed and served the other by now. It's been months with nothing close to an agreement. And the tone sounds like one won't be met without some form of legal intervention.
Shaun, you make it sound like court is something evil and to be shunned. It doesn't win peoples battles for them. It is there to resolve conflict that two parties cannot do so themselves. And take note that attorneys or legal representation is usually not allowed in SCC (depends on the state you file in). It is very easy to file (that's the main idea of SCC, to make it easy for the lay-persons), you are placed on the docket fairly quickly, and it will be decided on by the judge that day. Done.
If you don't like the idea of SCC there are alternatives that some people avail themselves of. First is personal negotiations. That has obviously failed. The other are mediation (not always binding) and arbitration. SCC is the cheapest solution though.
People should not be intimidated by the legal system or court IMO. It is there for everyone's benefit. SCC is made easy so that the general person has some way to be heard in a dispute. Take advantage of it rather than continued (and pointless) arguing. It won't get solved in an internet forum.
Again, just a neutral suggestion.
