Actually is possible the RT sail panels can direct airflow directly over the Stealth spoiler. I beleive it's one of the Aston Martin models that has a similar sail panel and spoiler setup.Quote:

When I weighed my 1G vr4 rims, they were 51 lbs EACH with bald tires. The dtiveshaft is another 35, the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate is another 30'ish (conservative guess)
That's not counting rods/crank/pistons/ damper pulley. That's also not counting 4 brake rotors at 15 or whatever lbs each.
The notion that a car won't make peak power at redline is false. That's LARGELY a mechanic of the cams and the turbos are also a big deal if they are too small. VR4's happen to have both that are too small
A good friend of mine dyno'd 475 on his stroked, cammed 383'd Camaro. It was still making power at 6700. He didn't rev higher because he didn't want his block flying apart.

what i meant was factory cars. of course you can change the power band with with cams and turbos intake manifolds and so on.
Weren't we doing that anyway? We are making a 200mph car :p
EDIT: bone stock 997.2 GT3 dyno. It makes peak power a lil before redline and HOLDS it.

I would guess those side windows are lexan. I'm not sure if you saw the credits in the beginning but that particular Puma GTO was cornerweighed at 3218 lbs with driver and full tank of petrol. I'm thinking based on what's left in there that's how they got there, but IDK?Quote:

Alright, so I went back and scrutinized a bunch of really old pics because I was certain I came across pressure chambers. There are infact (3) cabin pressure differential chambers built into our vehicles design. They're located in the A-plliars, B-pilliars, and in the main down stays above the doors.
The pressure tubes for the main stays connect with the vent chamber directly infront of the windshield and the A-pilliars have a filter that connects to a penetraition behind the 3rd layer that drops out the bottom of the lower box curtain rail and dump under the car.

You guys think the windows are bowing due to excess cabin pressure? Think we need more penetrations to get a better equallibrum? Jason Y mentioned he hit the high 180's possibly 190's (?) and his windows started buckiling. The video mehrshad posted clearly depicts what Jason was talking about. If our windows bend 2" out at 175mph when they're rolled up there's no F-N way you can do 200mph without them shattering... And I can attest to the fact that there's way too much drag with the windows down to break 200 mph so this will prove to be harder than expected hrmmm...
Need a fix for this pressure differential. Wether the windows are down, or with nets. Any Ideas?
I just crack my sunroof or a window and it solves all buffeting/pressure issues when I am at the race track.
i don't think weight had much to do with max speed. in there the GTO had the least power to weight ratio but it had the 2nd fastest speed after n1 gtr with 430bhp. i think the best way is to try to find a way to push the window well in to the groves. i couldn't tell if the driver side window was buckling too. cracking the sunroof open is a pretty good idea too. the other think is most cars have cabin vent on the rear behind the bumper. that should reduce the cabin pressure. not sure if 3/S has it since i have never taken the pumper off, but my lexus and my civic had them. making them somehow so they cause vacuum should reduce cabin pressure . i also wonder blocking the went where the heater gets it's air would reduce cabin pressure since at high speed that's high pressure area and it has room to inside of the cabin.Quote:
