E85 questions
So my car is basically stock other than an EBC, aftermarket DP and gutted cats. Could I just run 450cc injectors, supra fuel pump, new filter and just jack up the fuel pressure with an aftermarket fuel regulator? The computer would think I'm still running the 360's so I wouldn't need to change the fuel maps? It would be rich as Swiss chocolate on 93 octane but E85 I should be good right?
-
its roughly 30% more e85 over 93oct so the 450s might be just undersized...The supra pump isn't compatible with Ethanol & I wouldn't try to do something with fuel without some kind of fine tuning like an AFC and a wideband O2
-
That's what I was afraid of. I was under the impression that all modern FI systems were made to tolerate ethanol?
-
Most of the fuel systems prior to early 2000ish can only tolerate about 10% ethanol, which is how much most pump fuels contain.

Get 450s, a wideband, SAFC, Walbro for E85, and you should be good to go. Make sure you change the fuel filter often or get one with a stainless steel filter element.

Agreed with E85 Walbro ad SS fuel filter.
