So my brother was in an accident today...

He was sitting in traffic on a county road when a car came up and slammed into him from behind, causing the 3 cars in front of him to hit each other as well. Some how he walked away without a scratch, even though his airbags didn't deploy...his poor WRX, his pride and joy, was not so lucky. Some how the motor caught fire and burned his car to the ground. He apparently begged the first cop on the scene to use their fire extinguisher but was denied.

Wow! Though I do feel for his pride and joy, his safety is first and foremost and that seemed unscathed. I am glad he is OK.

Yea, Cop should have deff done something. And sorry to hear man but glad he is ok.... Cars can be replaced but brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers can't. Remind him how special he is to you and that well a car is just a car.

...besides, insurance will surely grant him a new one :)

time to start carrying your own extinguisher.

I hope he went to be checked out. You never know what kind of injury you could have from that.

I'm sure he had that helpless feeling as you look into your rear view mirror and know you're gonna get hit, and there's no way to avoid it. Glad he's ok.

Did he have aftermarket fuel lines or anything?
