GM upgraded Maf + Maft?

Heres the deal, I thinking of running a 99vr4 ECU + Maft for increased airflow. I already have a 99ecu, but I had originally intended on running speed density with an EMU but after reading all of the problems people are having getting tuned and smoothed out, I am thinking going with a GM maf and doing a blow-thru style setup. There are several versions of the upgraded GM maf's available, anyone used one of these with success? I am thinking I may max out the flow of a standard Z06 maf.

Running 780cc injectors, td05 E16gs etc, shooting for about 700awhp.

the 3.75" mafs are rated for some crazy high about of flow. I thought I read it would take almost 1000 HP to get beyond one's metering capability.

The biggest problem for you is the bigger mafs are plastic and don't work well with blow through. You could run drawthrough or try to run a metal maf.

Do not underestimate draw through. Matt M ran 970AWHP through a draw through arc 2 with one of the bigger ford style mafs.

The biggest reason I want to do blow thru is the way I want to plumb the intake piping. Some of the upgraded mafs I am talking about come in an aluminum housing, not the all plastic ones. I had high hopes for running my EMU speed density style but seems like no one had much sucess.

I am used to Ford and Gm cars .. If u want a aluminum one look up a company called C&L.. For mustang/camaro ..
