Some info on mitsubishi Diamond Gear Lube 75w85 GL-4

So I spent some time looking around for this gear oil for the tranny. Turns out there are two part numbers for the 3000gt. The older number A991ZC2X01 is the 5 gallon pail and the number it supersedes to is MZ320197 which comes in quarts but most places will force you to get a case of 12. This is also the fluid Jackstransmissions sells per quart which is a user friendly qty to order.

EDIT: The Diaqueen(MZ313376/3717610 ) is not recommended for our trannys.

jackstransmissions recommends the diaqueen. I tried it and noticed no improvement over redline mtl.

Well, there are a couple on that sheet, curious which one and why that over the one that is supposed to go in our trannys according to mitsu.

DSM, 3S and EVO are the first words on the page.

Yes...but no recommendation of oil for a 3s other than capacity. Only DSM, tcases, and evo tcases.

I've seen him mention it plenty of times on 3si, I'm not sure why you are making this so complicated. I used the fluid, didn't like it any better than redline, and switched back the next time I had to drain it out. I was just trying to help you by indicating that I don't think it is the miracle fluid some proclaim so you don't waste a bunch of money on it.

Well I am making this complicated because the oil you used is different and not the one that mitsu has recommended for our cars. So my point to all this was...maybe that's why you didn't notice any difference?
