I want one too, my stereo needs a upgrade.
Is the Nitro a true double din? I sat in one Tuesday, looked like a din and a half
pioneer has some good units for a lot less than $1000
Amazon.com: Pioneer AVIC-X940BT In-Dash Navigation AV Receiver with 6.1" WVGA Touchscreen and Built-In Bluetooth: Car Electronics
I'm only running the avh-2400bt, don't really care about navigation since a garmin is like $100 now with lifetime updates.
We used to sell Pioneer until they started selling to Wal-Mart and quality went down the drain. I would recommend staying away from Pioneer.Quote:

Probably a stupid question, but why doesn't he just get a used mygig radio... it should be plug-n-play and has all the features he is look for. There a few on eBay for less than $1000 and he could probably get it cheaper on the dodge forums. They are actually a very nice set-up, I have one in the Challenger.
What exactly defines quality in your mind? The 2400-bt unit I have has exceeded all of my expectations and has far better reviews than the Apline unit you posted.Quote:

I have a Kenwood 7160 DVD + Garmin. A lot of Pioneer folks leave and join Kenwood. They complain about the crappy navigation and unit freeze ups. Kenwoods are not perfect either. They are a little laggy but I'm totally happy with mine.
