What year/model do you have? 98-99 are different than 97.... just an FYI.
I am looking to use it to flash tune my 94 TT. Late 97, 98 are MD347250, and 99 are MD360163 Im told. I would like one of the 2 model numbers I have listed.Quote:

I was misinformed then. I was told late 97's had a the 98 ECU in them. I would dig up the thread but I guess it doesnt really matter.

No, no 98 or 99 ecus available. They are very hard to come by. I think some people have.figured out how to run ecus from other cars though, Montero, etc. Those would probably be much easier to get.your hands on.
True Ive been waiting on the word, if the boys have figured out how to mod the other ECU's to be able to do all the things the VR4 ECU's do. They all have the same motherboards.... Montero and another car I forget.
Late 97 build year are 98 ECU's. No 97 production cars had a flashable ECU in it.
That explains things.
