weird Idle question...
OK, this morning, I started the car to warm it up, ran and idled perfect. reved it a couple times by the throttle cable and was fine. Turned it off cause I wasnt leaving for about half hour. time to go, started it and reved to 2 step limiter, scared the shit outta me. Turned it off and popped the hood. throttle cable came out of the metal holder. I put it back in and refired the car up and it idled at 2800rpms. So, went to lunch and messed with it at home and got it to idle at 1000rpms and was fine and dandy. Got to work, and when i stopped, it ideled at 2000rpms and didnt move? I think i am going to put the old valve cover back on with the pcv valve and see if it stops doing that. Anyone have any idea why its like that?
Also, can you loosen the throttle cable? I loosened it from the plenum, and that did the trick, but y suddenly would it be off?

Part of my post from the other thread:
"The issue with replacing the pcv with a krank vent is that a krank vent acts more a check valve than a true pcv. This means that you will be imparting full manifold vacuum to the crankcase (and the fresh air inlet tube) at idle and part throttle. This will cause a lot of air to bypass the throttle body and should make for a pretty fishy idle and probably some other fun effects."
You are probably really freaking out your ICV.

ok, my filter that comes off the tb, the small round one, was clogged. so, when the plunger was struck, it wouldnt realease and would stick at the idle. So took off the filter and works perfect. adjusted the throttle cable too and she is perfect. No issues at all. IThe filter was acting like a one way check valve. I will just get a small filter and put it on there.
