The LIE is very flat and straight. Getting to 145 isnt that hard. (I think i've done like 130 on it once? not cruising. speed up then slowed)

slowing down for a quick exit seemed to be the issue for these guys

In Mexico on "calle del caimán", I've done 145 in my old SOHC. Took a while. Those guys are idiots though. Likely they will have their license suspended forever now.
