You can't do the underroll, When you try to rip it off it keep spinning. Also your hand hits the wall.

Just don't do it. It isn't natural.

With regard to the seat up/down argument. I enjoy upsetting both parties and closing the entire thing - seat, lid. That way everyone has to lift something up in order to take a piss, nobody wins - stalemate.
