Questions about a turbo controller

I have a turboxs turbo controller that came with my 92 3000gt VR-4. I took it to get the heads replaced and noticed that my Greddy BOV doesn't make nearly as much sound, and it seems like it takes a LONG time for my boost to kick in, longer than before. I took a picture, can somebody tell me if this is how it is supposed to be? In the picture, you can clearly see where one end of the hose goes to. The other end of the hose that can't see in the picture goes and splits into a T, where I'm guessing each end goes to the wastegates.

Do you have an real boost gauge?

Yes, aftermarket. In 3rd gear it will peak at 7psi, but quickly subsides to 3 or 4. And it takes a long time to peak.

I should also say that when I turn the controller knob down to lowest boost, it has a "stopping" point where I can't twist it anymore. But when I twist in the positive direction, it seems like there is no "stopping" point. I can just spin and spin and spin.

You need to follow the lines and make sure they go to the wastegates. I'm pretty sure you just disconnected your BOV so it's open all the time.

My hallman took a LOT of turns to go to max.

BOV MUST be in the manifold. MBC I don't think makes much of a difference.

The BOV looks connected. From the nipple of my Greddy, it goes to the little nipple on my Y pipe. Here is a picture of thatAttachment 9127

That's wrong. The BOV needs the pressure differential from pre-throttle and post-throttle for it to function properly. It should still build boost in this case, though, just never open.

Okay, see something told me something was wrong. I can tell it's all connected, but I think he connected it wrong. How can I make sure the BOV is getting this pressure differential you speak of? I see your chart, but it's just a little bit above my head. If there is a hose coming from my BOV, where does the other end go? And is my boost controller setup right, in the sense of it going to the nipple in the first picture?
