So I have replaced the steering wheel on my vr4 and need to adjust the alignment. I need a special tool called a steering wheel puller, what size of puller do I need or does it not matter for my vehicle?

You really don't need a puller. Just loosen the nut and leave it a few threads at the end of the shaft and yank the fuck out of the wheel. It will come loose.
That method works fine, I did make a little "puller" out of a short section of 1" box steel, 2 drilled holes, and 2 bolts. Pops right off without any drama.
My issue is the wheel is not straight. To solve this I took my wheel off, and I need to rotate the bolt on the shaft that the hub sits on to get it fixed so the wheel will be uniform on the vehicle. I got the wheel off, just need to get the tools to take the interior apart to get to what i need.
Wrong way to solve the problem.
You should have disconnected at the rack, centered the wheel and reconnected the rack
