Stealth eletrical issues.

As some of you may know my Stealth has been having some electrical issues for a while now.

I figured they were the result of this accident.

I had a local guy look at it two a few years ago and he could not find the issue. I have been feeling for a while it was because he did not pull the fender and look at the harness before it enters the engine bay. I felt that had he pulled the fender the issues would have been found.


I finally pulled the fender and I was right and wrong. The harness as it enters the engine bay is fine.

But the side where it exist the cabin has a few issues.....

Now to fix this mess and all the bolts that just snapped off getting there.

I found out the hard way that the harness to drivers door gets old and brittle too. Wires eventually break. Not easy to find which one.

Had to pull my fender and re wire that whole door plug. Wire by wire by wire

What is the correct way to fix all the bolts that got snapped off while removing the bumper and sideskirt

Drill them then use an easy out to remove the broken studs. WD40 them real well ahead of time to loosen them up.

You can also do this but you need a welder and if they break off flush it doesn't really work.

Fun fact: Acetone + ATF makes for a penetrating oil that performs better than most off the shelf products (PB Blaster, WD40, etc). It's what I switched to when disassembling most of the underside of my car after having several bolts snap during disassembly phase, stopped breaking bolts and a lot easier to do manually since I didn't have a pneumatic impact at that point.

What proportions do you mix the two? Just wondering in case I find stuck bolts somewhere lol

50:50 mix has provided best results for me.
