DeathOtter PC Build
SO recently I had an itch to build a new pc for myself to replace my old setup.
I will make this short and sweet.
AMD FX-8350
Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
2x AMD R9 290x
fans, heatsink and other junk not worth listing.
Current overclock CPU settings.

While I don't knock the decision for the AMD CPU, curious as to the pair of 290X for your build though. While roughly on par with the GTX970 still at that point (290X doesn't get faster until 4K) the heat from those I would think is a bit of a deal breaker with crossfire.
Admittedly, I put my build underwater, but even with copious airflow of a NZXT Switch810, my 7950 could run me out of a room with waste heat. Especially once overclocked. Given the power consumption of the 290X, and that the entire R9 series is still based on the older tech and style of the 79xx series, I have to imagine that gets pretty toasty on air. Especially with a 5ghz OC on the CPU as well.
Went GTX970 and i7-3770k this last build, put it all underwater and couldn't be happier. Even on air the 970 and the i7 were pretty cool running compared to my old 1100T and 7950.

I can't tell the difference in Heat over my previous build which was another amd proc running a 1.3 ghz OC and twin 6970s.
I just wanted a build that would run me 3 2560x1440 monitors and run GTAV @ maxed settings with no issues. This accomplished that and should easily last me another 5 years like my previous build did.
