My LED snake eyes install - fog light controled
Yeah tons of snake eye threads over the years. So, here's another one :) So I decided to go LED strip. Picked up a pair for 10 bucks off amazon. Side affect of the popup projectors is it doesn't light up the snake eyes when they are down so I wired them up so I could just use the popup button to activate them no matter what.

Here are the strips and how I mounted them to the back of the light. The wires coming out of the device aren't secured. So I epoxied them to the case where they come out. That's what that piece of blue tape is, it was holding the epoxy from dripping. Bent a strip of alum and attached it with the doubled sided tape they provided. Makes it easy to remove or replace the strip.

Then the fun part...
Since the fog relay coil only gets power when the lights are on, you have to provide it +12. Luckily the 15a fused line to the relay which powers the fogs is always there. So you just need to connect it to both the +12 coil side and the input of the relay.
A bit ghetto, but you can't see it :) And yes...I know I have mismatched coolant hoses lol.

The only thing you can't do is have them on when the high beams are on. The column switch removes ground from the relay coil but not a big deal. This one is harder to fix.
