Crash Beam Gap

A few weeks ago, I was going down an icy hill as slid into a small rock.

The bottom of my bumper got a tad scratched up, but its alignment was off. I took a deeper look today, and found that there was a gap between my crash bar and car.

One of these weekends, Im going to take off my bumper. What exactly should I plan to replace? I couldn't find many threads on this issue.

Unless I am misreading what you are talking about the crash bar doesn't bolt directly to the car. There is a gap because the bar bolts to some "impact shocks"

My bumper has a gap, and I thought it was from the crash bar pushing out the bumper. The side with the gap is where the bumper pushes out.

Was it hit on the drivers side? It looks like the right side was hit pushing it back (look at the gap at the headlight) while pulling the left out some. It all can be adjusted though.

Nope, it was hit on the passenger side. There are scrapes on the bumper where it hit the rock.

Might have bent the support structure dow pulling the gap, still repairable. Remove the undertray covers, and pull the bumper cover inspecting as you go.

Woot.. were getting somewhere. Lets say the crash beam/support structure is bent.. Is the repair as simple as bending it back? Of course that depends on how severely its bent.

Yes depends on severity, but it is more likely the crash bar is not harmed from the pic. It is likely the metal supports for the bottom of the cover have been bent back into the lower core support. By removing the undertray covers you will be able to see what is going on there.
